RESULTS OF 3-MAN ROOKIE X FIRE TOURNEY, SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2008

It was a beautiful day for the thirteen teams that participated in the second 3-man tourney of the 2008 season. 

Each team had the opportunity to play twelve games in the tournament leading up to the finals so there were a lot of chances for each team to demonstrate how good it was and to learn from others. 

Even the best team tasted at least one defeat. 

At the half way point of the tournament, when each team had played six games, Rogue Status and the Black Knights were tied for the lead with 515 points, Unlimited had 490, East Coast Kaos had 465, Mass Chaos had 320, JYT had 300, Outlaws had 295, Boston Mascre had 250, the Renegades had 230, the Celtics had 160, Raw Heat had 150, No Mercy had 10 and the Mass Chaos Kids had 0.

The second half of the tournament saw the Black Knights pull ahead to 1035 points and Rogue Status come in second with 935. East Coast Kaos pulled up into third place with 895 points and Unlimited took fourth with 815 points. In fifth with 710 points was Mass Chaos, sixth went to the Outlaws with 625 points. In seventh, JYT had 610 points, the Renegades took eighth with 545 points, ninth went to the Celtics, a pick-up team, with 535 points, tenth went to a reconstituted Boston Mascre with 460, eleventh went to Raw Heat with 385, twelfth went to the Mass Chaos Kids with 115 points and No Mercy came in thirteenth with 10 points after suffering a deduction for mask violations.

The top four teams moved on to the finals.  In the finals each team played every other team in the finals once and the scores were totaled to determine the final ranking.  The Black Knights started out with a win over Rogue Status gaining 95 points to Rogue’s 10. East Coast Kaos beat Unlimited 85 to 10. Then the Black Knight fell to East Coast 10 to 95 and Unlimited beat Rogue 85 to 30. So after two games each the scores were East Coast 180, Black Knights 105, Unlimited 95, and Rogue Status 40.  In the third game for each team Black Knights beat Unlimited 95 to 10 and Rogue Status stepped up and took East Coast Caos by the same 95 to 10. This moved the Black Knights into first with 200 points, East Coast Caos into second with 190, Rogue into third with 135 and Unllimited into fourth with 105 points.

The top three teams took home individual trophies. The top team got three air tanks, second place got three cases of paint and the third place team got DYE game timers.
